This was followed by presentation to technical, operating and management committees including government to provide input into the company strategy in Morocco.
US based listed O&G Company Gabon Exploration Support Seismic interpretation for the Gabonese operating division of a US listed independent oil and gas company focusing on sub-salt potential with a view to prospect generation and structural modelling for a farm out campaign. Work involved detailed mapping of 2D and 3D data sets of varying vintage and integrating well data in an area of complex mobile salt and shale to provide prospect summaries and resource volumes to support farm out.
UK based Private Equity Fund UK North Sea Acquisition Technical DD & Investment Advisory Technical DD and Investment Advisory as part of a $75m acquisition of a North Sea producing gas field. Gate Energy was asked to engage with a third party reserve certification firm who had prepared an independent reserves estimate on the asset in question. Gate Energy reviewed all technical work and reserves/cashflow forecasts and advised the client on realistic “conservative” and “most likely” investment scenarios for input into the client’s financial model. 
Singapore based Private Investment Consortium US Deepater Gulf of Mexico Acquisition Technical DD & Investment Advisory Technical DD and Investment Advisory in support of a $50m acquisition of oil and gas producing assets in Deepwater Gulf of Mexico.  Gate Energy performed all technical work and delivered reserves forecasts and cashflows for input into the client’s financial model.  This was followed by advising the client on the creation of Core, Base and Upside investment scenarios, to determine acquisition price and estimate range of investment returns. 
Middle East based Investment company Tunisia Onshore Acquisition Technical DD & Investment Advisory Technical DD and Investment Advisory in support of a $50m asset acquisition/financing of a development project onshore in Tunisia. Gate Energy performed all technical work and delivered reserves forecasts and cashflows for input into the client’s financial model. This was followed by advising the client on the creation of Core, Base and Upside investment scenarios, to determine acquisition price and estimate range of investment returns.
Middle East based Investment company US Oklahoma Acquisition Technical DD & Investment Advisory Technical DD and Investment Advisory in support of a $70m asset acquisition of a development project in Oklahoma Mississippi Lime/Woodford Shale. Gate Energy performed all technical work and delivered reserves forecasts and cashflows for input into the client’s financial model. Hong Kong based Investment company West Africa Portfolio Quick Look Scoping Study Quick Look Scoping Study in support of a $100m corporate equity transaction for a West Africa Exploration company. Gate Energy was engaged to provide a high level view on the quality of an exploration portfolio and how it compares to its peers.

Gate Energy was engaged to provide an initial first view on the technical and commercial viability of a proposed development programme, prior to going into full due diligence.

Gate Energy was engaged to provide an initial first view on the technical and commercial viability of a proposed development programme, prior to going into full due diligence.
US based Hedge Fund Trinidad Quick Look Scoping Study Quick Look Scoping Study in support of a $5m debt review for a development project onshore in Trinidad. Gate Energy was engaged to form a view on the technical viability of a proposed development programme and the ability of the client to service the debt. 
US based Hedge Fund US Marcellus/Utica Shale Quick Look Scoping Study Quick Look Scoping Study as part of a $100m re-capitalisation project for a distressed shale gas operator in the US.  Gate Energy was engaged to form a technical opinion on the quality of Marcellus/Utica shale acreage of the target company.  The review was strictly limited to publicly available data.
US based Private O&G Company Hungary Farm-Out Independent Assessment & Peer Review Independent Assessment and Peer Review as part of a $25m farm-out process of a tight gas discovery in Hungary. Gate Energy was engaged by the seller to provide an independent assessment of the discovery and peer-review the sell side technical case. 
UK listed O&G company Morocco Onshore Farm-Out Independent Assessment & Peer Review Independent Assessment and Peer Review as part of a $25m farm-out process of a tight gas discovery in Morocco. Gate Energy was engaged by the seller to provide an independent assessment of the reserves potential of the discovery and peer-review the sell side technical case. 
US based Listed O&G Company UK North Sea Bid Evaluation/Strategy & Technical DD  Undertook and provided Technical DD of available acreage for two different clients in the 28th Licensing Round. One was looking for near field exploration and the other for undeveloped discoveries. Once blocks were highlighted, Gate Energy led and managed the evaluation of the application blocks for both clients, undertaking all geology and petrophysics and co-ordinating the prospect geophysics. We also wrote the application documents and presented application for the blocks to DECC.
UK based Law Firm UK North Sea Expert Opinion in Arbitration Expert Opinion was provided on the reserves situation (prior to purchase of shares) in a shareholder dispute prior to a statement of claim within an arbitration procedure. The potential value of the claim was several billion dollars and hinged around an alleged series of misrepresentations by a seller to the eventual new shareholder. Opinion was based on reviewing several years of reserve reports and documenting how reserves were booked prior to the purchase of shares and the effect of those bookings on the valuation of the company.
UK based Private O&G Company UK North Sea Missed Pay Study Missed Pay Study: Identified a potential section of missed pay within a licence application block of a regular client. Sampled the core and cuttings that were available and undertook the petrophysical evaluation.  Co-ordinated the integration of test data with the log analysis and rock descriptions to give a holistic view of the potential pay section.
